Abstract:
Headache is a common symptom of complicated etiology; treatment is often ineffective when the intrinsic cause of the manifestation is not identified. The author found that tonic headache was very common in Germany, where few patients were helped in spite of various modalities of treatment. Since acupuncture proved useful to many cases it is the author's wish to add this ancient practice to the armory of the medical profession.
