Recurrent headache and facial ecchymosis: a case of dermatitis artefacta? Reply from authors.

Abstract:
We really appreciate your comment about our rare clinical case report. The first time we visited this patient we thought about the possibility of a cutaneous factitious disorder. Consequently, we conducted a comprehensive interview with the patient and her family who repeatedly denied mental problems and the use of topical products on the skin during the headache episodes. Moreover, we requested a psychiatry evaluation that was strictly normal.
