The myGel mini gel box attaches directly to the power supply for a secure connection everytime. Selectable parameters include 3 preset voltages – 35V, 50V or 100V – and a 99 minute timer. All are set using the memberane keypad.
The safety lid is vented to help dissipate heat generated during electrophoresis, and features a viewing area above the gel. Current will only run through the system when the lid is properly in place on top of the gel box.
Trays and casting stands for both 10.5 x 6cm and 5 x 6cm gels are included with the myGel Mini system, as are double-sided combs. The smaller tooth combs are compatible with multichannel pipettes. Casting is quick and easy – just place the tray in the casting stand and pour. The trays feature a dark contrast strip to help visualize wells while loading and lines that fluoresce under UV and blue light to track progress of the run.
E1101-SK myGel Mini Starter Kit: The myGel System can now be purchased as a kit that includes a mini lab balance, weigh boats, and 100g of our Benchmark Agarose LE. This Starter kit is offered at a value price, click on the “Request a Quote” link below to request pricing information.
The new Accuris™ E3000 UV Transilluminator features a space-saving design, with a width of only 10.5 inches, to fit perfectly in any busy laboratory. However, the 16 x 19 cm UV viewing surface is sized to accommodate large gels or multiple smaller gels. The illuminated surface is comprised of a special black glass which is easy to clean, durable and scratch resistant.
An array of high intensity UV bulbs coupled with an optimized filter provides even illumination across the viewing surface and allows detection of small sample quantities. The dual intensity switch can be used to lower the UV intensity to 50% to reduce DNA damage during long exposure times, or switch to high intensity (100%) for viewing weak fluorescent signals or for photo documentation.
The acrylic UV blocking cover allows safe viewing of samples and has two friction hinges on the front edge to allow angling of the cover for gel access. The cover can be positioned to 90° (straight up) to fit a gel imaging hood, such as the Accuris SmartDoc™ imaging enclosure.
Accuris Compact balances have been designed to meet the basic needs of academic and research labs requiring weight determinations to increments of 0.01g to 0.1 g. Their reliable and precise weighing technology utilizes gold-plated, ceramic capacitors to determine sample mass.
The Compact line includes 6 models covering a wide range of maximum weight capacities. The lower capacity units (120g, 300g, and 500g) are readable to 0.01 g, and come with a draft shield ring to prevent air currents from affecting measurements. These models feature a 4.5 inch diameter, stainless steel weigh pan. The larger capacity models (1000g, 5000g, and 10,000g) do not include the draft shield ring, come with larger weighing pans of 6.3 to 7 inch diameter, and are readable to 0.1g.
All balances in the Accuris Compact line offer large, brightly lit LCD panels, and are easy to operate using the intuitive and splash resistant control panel. Different modes allow weight to be displayed in various units: grams, ounces, carats, and simple programs can be used for piece counting, and percent deviation weighing.
Leveling feet are located toward the front of the balance for easy access, and a leveling bubble in the control panel is easy to see for quick and simple leveling on the lab bench. The balances can be calibrated using a calibration weight and a few key strokes on the control panel – just select a calibration point in the calibration mode, place the calibration weight onto the weigh pan, and press the “CAL” button.
Lightweight, and small in size, Accuris Compact balances will provide years of trouble free service.
